Ashley Wild

Ashley Wild emerged onto the radar in the summer of 2011 after his debut release, Riding in the Red, signed by Jamie Jone’s Hot Waves Imprint, became a DC10 bomb and graced critical acclaim and support across dance floors globally. Since then further releases have landed on labels including Mexa Records, Electronique and Nurvous NYC. As a DJ Ashley first started out playing on the South Coast of England in the mid 90’s and following a move to London in 1999 he continued to DJ and studied music production to further his ambition. He has since gone on to play at many of the world’s iconic venues and stages including Fabric, Space Ibiza, Wild Renates Berlin, La Santanera, Canibal Royal Mexico, Sankeys Ibiza, The Electric Pickle in Miami and many festivals such as Glastonbury, Secret Garden Party, Horizons and Burning Man.

Ashley’s sound blends a melodic tone across house and techno with a hunger to move the dance floor and this can also be heard across his productions. Growing up in a music family Ashley was surrounded by musicians from an early age and as such his influences range from Folk, Pop, Jazz, Roots, Hip Hop and Electronica through to the DJ inspiring early rave scene of hardcore and italian house in the 1990’s and through to the house and techno scene of the 2000s, especially the era defining years of minimal and electro around 2005-2008.

Alongside his burgeoning production and Dj’ing career Ashley also runs one of London’s most well respected underground parties – You Are We, alongside a team of friends who include Sandeman and Dickie from the WiLDKATS.

The trio are soon to launch a label inline with their party called Y.A.W Music as a base for their new production sounds and have some exciting plans for their release schedule in 2014. They will be looking to take the label on the road and showcase their sound and give a flavour of their parties back home.

With a catalogue of new work coming up, a recent move into full time production, and a label set to mark it’s stamp on the scene, 2014 and beyond looks a little more colourful with Ashley Wild onboard.
